Published in 1717 by Domenica Louisa, it forms part of Il Gran Teatro di Venezia, a celebrated series depicting one hundred grand Venetian views and paintings. The image captures the architectural majesty of the Scuola with precise lines and beautiful perspective, reflecting the splendour of early 18th-century Venice.
This Venice Misericordia engraving measures 37 x 41 cm and remains in very good condition.
