Gezigt op het Badhuis, van de Duinzyde – Vue de L’Hotel des Bains, prise des dunes shows the Bathhotel in Scheveningen as seen from the land side. This handcoloured tinted lithograph was published in 1845 by A.P. van Langenhuijsen. The view captures the elegant Bathhotel, later the famous Gevers Deynootplein, surrounded by soft dunes under a calm sky.
This Scheveningen Badhuis lithograph measures 17 x 27.3 cm and is in very good condition. A small stain lies outside the image and is barely visible. The fresh colouring and balanced composition enhance the peaceful seaside atmosphere.
