This Haarlem Eendjespoort Drawing titled ‘Eentjes-Poort, te Haarlem’ is a rare early 19th‑century pen and ink study by Jan Pannebakker. The drawing shows the former Eendjespoort with the Langebrug and the Spaarne River. It differs slightly from the version held at the Beeldbank Noordhollands Archief, showing one fewer figure in the composition.
The sheet measures 15 x 22.3 cm and remains in very good condition, with only a small spot and light fold. Pannebakker’s precise linework and subtle shading capture the historic charm of Haarlem’s riverside architecture. The drawing was made as a study for a later aquatint engraving, reflecting his careful preparation and artistic technique.
